[박가연: 은둔자의 밤] 2019.9.7-10.5

기억이라는 것은 뿌옇고 불명료하지만, 내면에 어떤 흔적을 남깁니다. 저의 작업은 '삶과 죽음'이라는 것을 받아들이는

개인의 태도에 대한 이야기입니다. 기억과 일상 속에서 부딪히는 양가감정을 모티브로, 내 안에 존재하는 것과 그 바깥의 것들이

마주하는 순간에 대해 작업을 하고 있습니다.
질료로써는 주로 반투명한 종이와 천, 그리고 조명을 사용하여 전시장이라는 시공간을 드로잉 하듯

입체물을 설치(installation)하는 방식에 중점을 두어 기억 속의 분위기를 이끌어냅니다.

Memory is vague and uncertain but leaves trace on the inside. 

My subject matter deals with an attitude towards accepting ‘life and death’. With colliding emotions from memory and everyday life,

I take ‘ambivalence’ as a motif of my oeuvre and explore the moments that I encounter when the inner existence meets with that of the external.  

 

To draw a mood in the memory, I use materials such as translucent papers, fabric, and lighting to compose installations that are put in the exhibiting space as like as a drawing motion within the space and time.
